The NP/PA Institute panel · For NPs & PAs

Represent
your profession.

Put advanced practice on the record.

The NP/PA Institute runs a selected, standing panel of nurse practitioners and physician associates who report each quarter on what they actually prescribe, and why — speaking for thousands of peers like them. Together, the reports build the Advanced Practice Therapeutic Index: the national read on how NPs and PAs prescribe. About twelve minutes a wave. Paid every time.

Why it exists

Research has a blind spot. It’s you.

Most prescribing research was built around the physician’s office. NPs and PAs write a huge share of the scripts and show up in a sliver of the research. The Institute’s panel is built the other way around: on you, quarter after quarter.

What your reports build

The Advanced Practice Therapeutic Index.

Every quarter, the panel’s reports are combined into one national read on how NPs and PAs actually prescribe. Life sciences sees only the aggregate index — never your reports.

How it works

Apply once. Report every quarter.

  1. 1

    Apply once.

Your Health-Scripts profile plus a five-minute screener: credential, the therapy areas you treat, your setting and state.

  2. 2

    Qualify by therapy area.

Each Institute panel has its own criteria. When your profile fits an open panel, you’re invited to join it.

  3. 3

    Report each wave.

About twelve minutes a quarter. Your last few patients in that area — de-identified — and what you started, switched or stopped, and why.

  4. 4

    Get paid. See it first.

Paid for every completed wave. Then the Institute Brief: how your peers are prescribing, before anyone else sees it.

Who’s selected

Not everyone is selected. That’s the point.

An index only means something if it reflects the whole country. So every Institute panel is built to a mix — by region, practice setting and years in practice — and we invite clinicians to fill it.

The Institute Brief

Report, and see what your peers are doing first.

Every quarter, reporting clinicians get the Brief for their panel: what NPs and PAs in that area started, switched and stopped — and the reasons they gave. Before it’s published anywhere else.

Questions

Before you apply.

How much is each wave paid?

Payment is set per wave at fair market value for the time it takes, and it’s shown to you before you start. You’re paid for every wave you complete.

How much time does it take?

About twelve minutes a quarter for the core report. Occasional short add-on questions are optional and paid separately.

Who sees my answers?

The NP/PA Institute’s research team. Results leave the Institute only in aggregate — never tied to your name.

What if I’m not selected right away?

Panels open and refill throughout the year. Your application stays on file, and we’ll invite you when an open panel fits your practice.

Can I be on more than one panel?

Yes, if you actively treat in more than one area and qualify for each. Each panel is reported and paid on its own.

Do I need to be a Health-Scripts member?

Applying creates your free Health-Scripts profile if you don’t have one. That’s how we verify your license and pay you.
